Squiz Recommends
Listening - To the brand new EP from one of our fav Aussie bands, Spacey Jane. Their latest release Exit Wounds is their signature easy-listening sound with big-feeling lyrics… And just because we mentioned it last week, you can also get amongst the cool kids with Olivia Rodrigo’s new album.
Reading - Deep End by Ali Hazelwood. If you’re hearing a lot about sports-based romance reads and want to try one (or it’s already your thing and you haven’t come across this one yet), this is a New York Times recommended title. A word of caution: it’s not going to be for you if ‘spice’ isn’t your thing…
Watching - Widow’s Bay on Apple TV. We came for one of our favourite actors Matthew Rhys, and stayed for the highly original storyline. It’s in the comedy-horror genre, and for us scaredy-cats, it’s not too much to handle.

In the Kitchen
This flourless chocolate cake is our favourite low-skill baked good at the moment, coming together without any complicated equipment. It’s easy, yummy, serves 8 people (or 6 hungry people, we don’t judge), and we recommend it with creme fraiche and a few berries on the side…
