🤷‍♀️ IDK: What other word to use in place of ‘moist’?

This week's top stories

Streem Leading News Stories - 9 November - noon 15 November

1. President-elect Donald Trump’s new administration is taking shape… - He’s building on the momentum after last week’s epic election win… Some of the appointments announced - not all of them… - have been called “the most provocative nominations in modern political history”.

2. A disrupting eruption - The eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki in the East Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia started a couple of weeks ago. It’s located about 800km from Bali and flights have been interrupted, but some resumed late this week.

3. Ceasefire talks grind to a halt - We’re talking about the talks for a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of the hostages taken from Israel last year between Hamas and Israel that Qatar has mediated for more than a year. This generated headlines at the start of the week - Qatari officials say both sides are unwilling to negotiate "in good faith".

4. Another tragic crash in Victoria - An out-of-control water tanker crashed into the playground of a preschool northwest of Melbourne on Monday. Eleanor Bryant - a 43yo mum of 2/speech pathologist who worked at the kindergarten - was killed as she moved to save kids in the truck’s path. It came less than 2 weeks after 11-year-old Jack Davey was killed after an SUV crashed at a primary school in Melbourne’s east.

5. Up, up and not quite away… - This was one that kicked on from Friday last week after a Brisbane-bound Qantas flight made an emergency landing after takeoff at Sydney Airport when the right engine failed. Firefighters who responded to the grassfire that engulfed two-thirds the length of the runway said they found pieces of metal - the Australian Transport Safety Bureau is investigating…

Picture of the Week

As mentioned - the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki made for some spectacular pics…

Squiz Recommends

Buying - Before hot chilli honey was a thing, we were making it ourselves… But now it’s available in supermarkets and we reckon cut to the chase and just buy pre-made. The mix of spicy and sweet is delicious - we use it on stir-fries, pizza and roasted veggies.

Playing - Uno Flip. It’s not a new game, but one we picked up recently and wondered why we hadn’t played it in a while. Adding the ‘flip’ builds on the original, and it’s good to have up your sleeve for the holiday period.

Watching - ABC TV’s Australian Story with Shayna Jack. She’s the Olympic swimmer who overcame doping claims to reflect on what it was like to fight it in court and her incredible comeback to the sport after clearing her name.

In the Kitchen

If you want a moist (ick that word…) chocolate cake recipe - this is the one. We didn’t worry about cutting the cake in half or anything, we just baked it in one pan and slathered it in icing… Then devoured it, obviously…
